Rooted in DuBois. Driven by hope.
Giving Hope in DuBois is a faith-based, community-driven outreach organization dedicated to the advancement of religion and the relief of poverty by serving those experiencing homelessness and hardship throughout our region. We exist to meet people where they are, offering practical support, human connection, and structural pathways toward stability. By increasing awareness of our area’s hidden homelessness, often driven by financial hardship, mental health challenges, and addiction, we mobilize community support to deliver the immediate help, dignity, and compassionate care necessary to foster a better future.
Four neighbors, each called by faith and personal experience to make sure no one in DuBois is forgotten.
Shaped by the loss of his daughter, Juanita, Shawn leads with "tough love with compassion" so that vulnerable neighbors are never forgotten.
